I am pleased to announce that Kilohana Lighting has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Showroom of the Year Awards, which will be presented on Wednesday, June 24, during the Dallas International Lighting Market.
This year’s entries and nominations were judged by an esteemed panel of experts: “Retail Truths” author Chip Averwater, retail consultant Joan Doyle of Doyle + Associates and Snoa Garrigan, Executive Director of the Interior Design Society.
A short profile of your store will appear in the May issue of Residential Lighting, along with the other finalists. This special commemorative section will also be distributed in Dallas. An editor may be contacting you soon for supplementary information to include in this profile.
In May, we will also be sending you a certificate to honor your status as a finalist, along with a press release that you can adapt to suit your local market.
In the meantime, I’ve attached a 2015 Showroom of the Year Finalist logo in both JPG and EPS/vector formats, which you can use for marketing purposes. We are holding off on our own marketing until we officially announce the full slate of finalists in May.

Kilohana Lighting Honored as Best Lighting Showroom in the Western US
Kauai’s Kilohana Lighting, Inc. brought home one of the most prestigious national awards in the industry in 2011 for Best Lighting Showroom in the Western United States. Owner, Susan Irie, accepted the honor from Accessories Resource Team (ART) at a gala ceremony at the Dallas Market Center on January 22, 2011.
This was the 22nd annual awards ceremony of ART, the association for the decorative accessory segment of the home furnishings industry, and Kilohana Lighting was pleased to help put the entire state of Hawaii on the map with the selection of Kilohana Lighting by the esteemed panel of judges.
“Not only was it a win for Kauai and Hawaii,” said Susan Irie. “It demonstrates for other businesses in smaller markets that national awards such as the prestigious ART award are within reach.”
Kilohana Lighting’s passion for lighting design is evident in the showroom, and visitors benefit from the staff’s extensive knowledge base and their enthusiasm for the art and science of light.
Susan said her team “focuses on sharing the many functional, aesthetic and psychological benefits of quality lighting.
